November 2025, saw two Memorable performances of Das Lied von der Erde at the Kurhaus Bad tölz and Bergson Kulturkraftwerk Theater, Munich Germany
Hear the poems: Truth, Shoot'em, a fragment of Love Lingers on the short video below:, extracted from the complete performance.
This Lied von der Erde is an hour-long woven tapestry in memory of the ending of WW II, of Nazi banned music and writing by those who managed to escape and those who perished. Conceived and directed through a contemporary lens, by Martina Veh, with my voice and poems in Soundscape by Christoph Reiserer. Also performing: Soprano, Stephanie Krug; Actor, Stefan Wilkening; Dancer, Alberto Pagani; Conductor, Maria Fitzgerald.

Dark Nights Memories, 13x4’ from the ceramic abstract sculpture memory series
This sonnet accompanies the piece:
When Darkness Falls
When darkness falls, it might
Not be the dark of night—
Perhaps it is the hollow
Deeply laid, out of sight,
A lamp inside that sheds no light—
No opening to follow.
Dismiss the outstretched hand,
Trim the outsized hopes
That never had a chance to land—
As eyes retreat and heartbeat drones,
Alert to squeak and bang.
Darkness shows the map of stars
The twink and glimmer of a path—
The lightfooted way at last.
