More than 450 people celebrated the opening of Second Time Around: The Hubcap as Art, and most walked into the gallery and exclaimed, "WOW!" We are now pleased to share the exhibition’s 10-minute exhibition video. Landfillart artist Larry Carroll directed and donated it; Ravi Krishnaswami of COPILOT Music + Sound composed and donated its original score. Please post the link on your websites or share via social media. Ditto regarding the one-minute video trailer, now revised to include a few shots taken at the opening celebration.
On Friday night, the MSV hosted one of its Gardens at Night events. The Fabulous Hubcaps—(both the actual rock-and-roll group by that name and the art in the exhibition)—attracted a record crowd of more than 2,400 people. The exhibition will be up through March 1, 2015; keep checking the MSV website for new developments. Also, Second Time Around artists will continue to receive free admission throughout the run of the exhibition; just provide your name at the front desk and show a photo I.D.
